Expert open source assistance to Huawei CBG-SID in Europe between 2020 and 2025

Over a five year period, Open Up was contracted by Huawei’s European operations to deliver specialised open source consultancy and strategic guidance to the Standards and Industry Development team within their Consumer Business Group.

Key contributions included providing thought leadership to projects such as Open Harmony and Oniro, supporting the launch of the innovative Quick App (now MiniApp) Initiative, facilitating student challenges across France, Ireland and Finland, and collaborating with European industry partners on strategic open source initiatives and outreach actions.

Open Source Business Fundamentals: MSc Business Economics lectures for class of 2025-2026

Open Up is proud to have been selected by the Department of Economics at Cork University Business School to design and deliver a comprehensive 4-lecture series for students of the MSc Business Economics.

As part of the professional business skills module undertaken by participants of the programme, these lectures introduce students to: open source fundamentals, business value creation, digital sovereignty, and corporate governance practices in today's platform economy.
